9 Months, Wow! My daughter had a bout with that right before she turned two, this June. She's back to taking naps again, whew!
I didn't do anything special though. Like you I tried resisting the fact that this was happening already. I needed my naps as well. I sucked it up, if she's not tired, ok , I won't even try. I started drinking caffeinated beverages to keep me going throughout the day. I think maybe a week went by before she just couldn't do it anymore. She through a tantrum, an I'm sleepy tantrum, I put her to bed with some milk, and she was a goner. Once in a great while she'll go without a nap, but really I think the whole thing was a fluke, or a little baby life lesson that needed to be learned!

Start and end the days at the same time everyday; same goes with naps- starting and ending at the same time every day. Stop using sleep crutches (car rides, strollers, feeding, swings, etc.). Have "quiet time" before bed and naps.. ALWAYS BE CONSISTENT (and make sure your hubby is on board with doing the same things). Keep at it for at least 3-7 days. Everything takes time.

I read this book while I was on maternity leave and Loved it. It was hard to get through the parts with the sick woman because I was still hormonal after giving birth so I cried through most of those chapters. Great read though!

I agree Megan and I looked into that. I didn't find much except about silicone breast implants harming women. But I did find a little saying that if used over 500 degrees chemicals might leak. So I definitely wont do that.

Hey,

Great idea, I would do a little research though into whether any chemicals are released when you heat it in the oven especially at that heat =/.
I just use a regular baking tray, no baking sheet instead I just spray/brush it with canola oil.

My 1st batch I did nutritional yeast, a little salt, and pepper.
2nd batch I did garlic powder, and a mixed seasoning (like mrs.dash)
3rd batch (the best) I bought a vegan "nacho cheese" packet, which you are suppose to mix that and milk to create nacho cheese, but I just took the dry seasoning packet and put it on the kale.

Hint it is easier to put the seasonings on when the kale is a little damp (it sticks better). If you notice you burn the 1st batch lower the temp of the oven. Sometimes my oven I think runs hot so I just lower the heat a little and cook for an extra min or so.

I am also going to cook a batch tomorrow. We are going away for the weekend and I can pack these veggies (no frig or heating required after you make them) and eat them on the go.

OK...I finally bought some more Kale so I can make these tonight. I am soooo excited, especially to see if Tucker will eat them. His is in this wonderful "I will eat almost anything" phase so I need to get him to try new things while this lasts.

Sarah...what do you usually spice yours with. Im terrible with seasonings. I have been using nutritional yeast lately so I might try that.

PS..I went to the store and bought Kale and vegan ice cream cookie sandwiches.....completely craving both things...Im so preggers I just have to laugh.

Wohoo about the new baby! As for the working mom bit it is really hard. I went back to work part-time when Ava was 3 months old and I was really cranky at first.

I agree with what everyone else has posted. I have always been the first to admit that I am not supermom I can't do it all and I won't even drive myself crazy trying. My husband helps a lot and we both have the same philosophy that we just do what we can and everything else can wait.

Some positives are a little time away and adult conversation for me, Ava gets different perspectives on life and valuable bonding time when she is with her grandmas, and the house actually stays cleaner when there is no one home during the day to mess it up.

You'll do great!
