So last Wednesday Tuck and I went, with my BF and her little girl, to her parent’s Ranch up north. So much fun, relaxing, beautiful, good eating, and much much more. But yesterday I had a 4 hour drive back with just Tuck and me. I had to pee really bad but Tuck was asleep and I wanted him to stay asleep as long as possible. I had seen on Oprah that a mom that was in this exact same situation peed into a diaper while she was driving. I actually thought, “what great thinking, I would have never thought to do that!”
So I took advantage of this piece of knowledge. And……..it didn’t turn out so well. I had pee ALL over my seat, my hand, my dress….YUCK! The diaper was as if Tuck had worn it for 48 straight hours. Diapers are not meant for adult pee. It was a mess.
But although it didn’t turn out as nice and clean as I had expected. I am glad I did it. Tucker slept for over 2 1/2 hours and I didn’t have to pee anymore. It was a lot better than peeing straight on the seat. Tucker didn’t wake up until I had to stop for gas, which was unfortunate because he would have slept even longer, but we needed gas. I then changed my dress, put a towel down on the seat and voila! Good as new….except for the pee soaking into my seat still to this very moment.
Maybe if the diaper wasn’t a cheap Target brand diaper it would have turned out better. Thats what I get for being cheap I guess.
I am so thankful to be home, for my computer to be fixed,and to not be pregnant (I took a preg test last night because I was feeling weird).

This is the funniest story I have ever heard. I totally feel ya girl! I hate the pee/wake the baby up predicament!!
then the days come where you are doing everything in your power to NOT let the kid fall asleep in the car cause you want them in their crib/bed cause they sleep way better there. ha! the saga never ends! i can’t believe you peed in a diaper. you are my hero.
LOL! Maybe next time you will have one of his overnight diapers on hand!
I’m sure this was the one time where being a man wouldn’t be so bad.
I’ve considered it before…guess I’ll hold out for that EMERGENCY and thanks to FTM’s…I know to keep overnight diapers on hand! Xox
Definitely keeping the nightime diapers in the car from now on. It is easier than having a sex change so I can have a penis. I don’t think JJ would like that very much….hehe…yuck!

You know, I heard about this thing on the radio that might come in handy for just such an occasion. It’s called the She Wee and it’s a contraption for girls to use so you can pee standing up. It says it will work sitting, but maybe that and an empty water bottle would do the trick?? Hmmm….might have to be an addition to the diaper bag!! http://www.shewee.com/
